BEFORE YOU SEND OUT A SCOUTA few things
A few things
worth knowing.
No mystery. Just a little help
finding your next opening.
What does Tx DPS Scout actually do?
A scout watches for Texas DPS appointment openings that match your preferred service, location, and dates. When it finds a match, it sends you an email so you can check the opening on the official DPS scheduling site.
Will Scout book an appointment for me?
No. Scout helps you find an opening; you complete the booking yourself through Texas DPS. Openings can change quickly, and a notification does not reserve a slot or guarantee an appointment.
What happens in simulation mode?
Simulation lets you try the experience with fictional applicants. Each sample scan takes 1–5 minutes and produces a clearly labeled sample appointment. It does not contact DPS, and sample results cannot be booked. Your workspace tells you when simulation is enabled.
Can I manage a scout for someone else?
Yes, for another adult who has authorized you. Account holders and applicants must be at least 18. You can keep up to four applicants in your account, with one scout per applicant, and see who each search is for.
Where will my appointment alerts go?
Alerts go to your verified account email by default. You can choose a different notification email in Account settings and verify it before it starts receiving alerts.
Is this an official Texas DPS service?
No. Tx DPS Scout is an independent service operated by Lonestar Softworks LLC. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Texas Department of Public Safety. You always book through the official DPS scheduling site.
